Xero e-invoicing in the UAE: can you keep it — and which accredited ASPs connect to it?

From the ASP Select research desk · public claims reviewed across all 52 registered providers (48 accredited + 9 pre-approved), 28–30 August 2026 · verify current dates at mof.gov.ae
Short answer: yes, you can keep Xero. But Xero's built-in e-invoicing — native in markets like Singapore, Australia and New Zealand — does not cover the UAE mandate, and Xero itself is not on the Ministry of Finance accredited register. You need an accredited Service Provider (ASP) connected to Xero. In our review of all 52 registered providers, 7 publicly claim Xero connectivity — and exactly one is listed on the Xero App Store.

Why "Xero already does e-invoicing" is a trap

Xero users are more exposed to this misunderstanding than anyone: Xero genuinely does Peppol e-invoicing elsewhere, so it's natural to assume the UAE is covered. It isn't. The UAE mandate runs on its own data dialect over the Peppol "5-corner" model, and the legally required layer — validation, conversion, transmission, and tax-data reporting — can only be operated by a provider on the MoF accredited register. Xero sits at corner 1, where invoices are created. The compliance happens at corner 2, and that corner must be an accredited ASP.

So the real question for a Xero business is the same one QuickBooks users face: which accredited ASP plugs into your system with the least disruption?

The 7 accredited providers that publicly mention Xero

From the public materials of all 52 providers on the register — with the depth of each claim, because depth is where projects succeed or stall:

ProviderWhat they claim publicly
Tax Star Xero App StoreNative integration listed on the Xero App Store itself (and the QuickBooks App Store — their press describes them as the only ASP on both); bulk-upload path when no direct integration is used.
AdvintekXero named among "50+ pre-built connectors"; group materials cite QuickBooks/Xero SMEs going live in under 48 hours.
CasimXero among plug-and-play connectors ("Casim Connect"), alongside SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, "any system with an API". (Casim has also confirmed its full dataset with us in writing.)
Flick NetworkXero listed among supported platforms on its global site.
InvoiceQXero support echoed in third-party listings and its regional sites (its own UAE pages emphasise QuickBooks/Zoho — ask for the Xero specifics).
MarminXero named on its homepage ("SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, Zoho, Tally"); positions itself as "ERP agnostic by design", including fully custom systems.
OrchidaXero among cloud accounting integrations (with QuickBooks, Shopify, Loyverse); publishes dedicated connector pages per platform.
Read this before you shortlist. These are public claims, not verified contracts. "Listed on the Xero App Store" can be checked in one click; "named connector" should mean days of setup, not months; "any system with an API" usually means custom work quoted separately. Notably, several providers that advertise QuickBooks do not mention Xero (and vice versa — Marmin appears here but not on the QuickBooks list), which is exactly why generic "we integrate with everything" assumptions fail. Absence from this list only means nothing was published — this market publishes very little. All claims as of 28–30 August 2026; confirm in writing.

The 6 Xero-specific questions to ask any ASP

  1. App Store app or custom API build? A published Xero app is reviewed and updated by the vendor; a bespoke API link needs an owner and a maintenance plan.
  2. Two-way or one-way? Do delivery confirmations, rejections, and statuses land back in Xero, or in a separate portal your team must monitor?
  3. Multi-organisation support: if you run several Xero organisations or multiple TRNs, is pricing per org, per TRN, or consolidated — and is there one dashboard or five?
  4. Field mapping: TRN validation, AED rounding, UAE tax rates, credit notes, and any Arabic field requirements — out of the box, or a "configuration project"?
  5. Connector pricing: included, one-off, or per-invoice? Get it in the written quote — only 6 of 52 providers publish any pricing at all.
  6. Prove it: a sandbox demo connected to a test Xero organisation, with your invoice templates, before you sign.
